RULES AND FEE CHANGES:

  2009 NATIONAL CHANGES:

        1.   Once a World Series Qualifier is scheduled it MUST be played if

              not canceled before 30 days of the scheduled tournament date. The

              fee of $5000 MUST be sent in with the contract to host a qualifier.   

              If the tournament is canceled within 30 days of the tournament

              date the fee is non-refundable.

        2.   ONLY wooden bats will be used in Don Mattingly (17 single age)

              and above. Bats must not exceed 42 inches in length and 2 3/4 in

              diameter.

        3.   Helmets MUST be worn by all base coaches in all age levels.

        4.   Add player number to the AABC official roster.

        5.   All games has a mercy rule, including championship games.

        6.   Add to rule 218 (Slide Rule). The ball is dead and NO runner shall

              advance. If the runner's slide or collision is flagrant, the runner

              shall be ejected from the contest.

        7.   Single age (13's) and all below age levels bats must not be larger in

              diameter than 2 5/8. There is no restriction with regard to the

              differential between length and weight.

        8.    If a bat is merely dented or damaged it shall be removed and a

              team warning. Each subsequent offense will result in the batter

              being called out. Of a batter reaches base on a hit, all runners shall

              return to their base occupied at the time of the pitch and the batter

              will be called out. The appeal must be made before the next pitch,

              play or attempted play by the defense.

        9.   Rule 213 (e), team gate fee not to exceed $350.00

       10.  Definition of a league: Goes from a 4 team league to a 6 team

              league.

       11. AABC new Insurance company is now K & K beginning 2009.
